Just tie me up and torture me!

I'm still on dial-up... my connection is killing me! Most of the time the connection is so weak that I can't do anything. Occasionally I can open my mail, but usually it won't let me do that. Download speed 18.4 kbps - upload speed 17.0 kbps...

I will be in Gargaresh in the mental hospital soon... I think they allow visitors there. I'd appreciate it so very much if you'd bring Doritos for me when you visit...

  1. There is nothing to make a computer person feel more disconnected than a lack of Internet or the frustration of a weak signal. Here in Los Angeles, I expect full connectivity at all hours with the blazing speed of a cheetah across the Serengeti. Too often I get tired turtle across a country road speed. Sometimes the turtle falls asleep. Sometimes it is run over. For this I pay $50 a month? Oh, the universal pain.

  2. Salam Alaikum,

There is a satellite receiver system (similar to the TV channels receivers) which enables the user to have a full time DSL internet service at home...(some european company does it )

we use it on our "offshore" projects, where internet service are impossible..

if my memory services me right, we used it on a project near zouara a couple of years ago and it worked :)

    QED

if you get stuck,,, let me know :)
