Survived - day one

The first day of Ramadan is over. I had everything so well planned and everything worked out just the way it was supposed to. I decided to stay in bed in the morning to see if I could bypass the morning desire for coffee - I thought it would be a good idea just to sleep the morning away. I finally got up about 9:00 and got laundry going and Jenna working on her homework.

The afternoon was devoted to cooking. I made soup, two kinds of salad, rice pilaf, and baked chicken. Mustafa bought home fresh bread and some savoury pasteries. And of course we had dates, milk and juice. Nora and Sara were very helpful in the kitchen - washing all the dishes (a job I loathe).

The evening was spent with the kids watching TV while I took a nap and after the kids got to bed Mustafa and I had a nice peaceful evening.

One day done - 28 or 29 to go!
