My day

Today there was a solar eclipse here in Libya. Jenna, Ibrahim and I looked at it from the balcony. It was time to to get ready for school and the neighbour girl came by to say she was sure it was going to rain and was wondering how they would get to school if it rained. We told her that it wasn't rain, that it was an eclipse and showed her what it looked like with a piece of paper with a small hole in it. Then the kids got finished getting ready for school (with money for snacks).

Tomorrow is the first day of Ramadan so I went shopping for a few odds and ends that my mother in law requested. In the evening we delivered them and had a visit. My sister-in-law's son bit me. I was so surprised because I hadn't expected it. Now I have a nice bruise on my arm - I will make sure not to sit near that kid again!

I am ready to face Ramadan - I'm only worried about missing my morning coffee! I will be grumpy for a few days until I get used to it. Posted by Picasa

  1. That's good, the next solar eclipse in Libya is the next year, March 26! In muy country Spain the eclipse will be partial :( you are very lucky, two eclipses in a year!!

    Bye!!
