Mountain Bike Heaven in Libya!

One thing that we discovered about our trip to Nalut was that it is mountain bike heaven! The place is literally covered with miles and miles of ideal trails for mountain bikers and hikers. Tara, an avid biker, brought her bike along for the trip so she could hit the trails.

When will someone arrange the first mountain bike event for Nalut? The spectators have the perfect viewing stand right next to the Nalut Qsar. The weather is perfect too - clear without humidity. That along with the elevation makes it an ideal place for training.

Not only biking, how about hang gliding and other sports? Hey! Someone get this started!

Tara and the Tuaregs... she calls them 'My Peeps!'

  3. Dear Teri
I had such a pleasure reading the Nalut post and the photos, so from California I would say thank for bringing back so many memories, also I really enjoyed the tuareg band "Teshoumara" and Carlos Santana playing together two video clips so thank you Tara for such a treat. I never new there is a band from Libya, Mali and Niger playing electric guitars and playing so well, I will have to search to see if they have CD's or DVD's for sale. My best regards to the family and friends.
