PhotoFriday - Burn
PhotoFriday - Burn
We had a nice sized pile of tree cuttings accumulated a while ago that we decided to burn. There were some pine cuttings in the pile and they always seem to make the fire burn very hot. Why do people find fire so fascinating to watch?

Hey KhadijaTeri... it's true. People do find fire fascinating. A couple of weeks ago, I went to a bon-fire at Ocean Beach (obviously on the ocean which is nowhere near as pleasant as the sea). We burned 18 pellets. Once the fire got going, all kinds of people came over to our camp.... people who were just walking, camping, wandering, whatever. And they started taking pictures!
ReplyDeleteThing is, I think people fascinated by watching fires for the pure asthetic of grandeur and are attracted to coming near it for its warmth and light. What do you think?
Fire attracts peoples attention. It is ever changing and dangerous. No camping trip is right without a bonfire as it's a place to get people together. Maybe since the beginning of time - drawing us back to our roots.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've got a seven-year-old that has been sneaking around lighting fires these days - if he burns the house down I will be back to living with the in-laws!
