Maybe since the beginning of time - drawing us back to our roots.

And I've got a seven-year-old that has been sneaking around lighting fires these days - if he burns the house down I will be back to living with the in-laws!KhadijaTerihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01279047119702679252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8439435.post-1127893826150006952005-09-28T03:50:00.000-04:002005-09-28T03:50:00.000-04:00Hey KhadijaTeri... it's true. People do find fire ...Hey KhadijaTeri... it's true. People do find fire fascinating. A couple of weeks ago, I went to a bon-fire at Ocean Beach (obviously on the ocean which is nowhere near as pleasant as the sea). We burned 18 pellets. Once the fire got going, all kinds of people came over to our camp.... people who were just walking, camping, wandering, whatever. And they started taking pictures!

Thing is, I think people fascinated by watching fires for the pure asthetic of grandeur and are attracted to coming near it for its warmth and light. What do you think?smokey spicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16883279968071225830noreply@blogger.com
